Essay (AN EMBARRASSING DAY)

AN EMBARRASSING DAY

Tom was walking to school in morning. As he passed through the food court, a delicious smell filled his nostrils. His feet was walking behind the aroma and stopped in front of a noodle stall that was tucked away in the corner. The aroma of the noodles made his stomach to grumble.Soon, Tom held a bowl of piping hot noodle soup in her hands. Tom  ate the noodles blissfully, licking her lips.

Tom had eaten his full , but his gluttony made him to buy another bowl of noodles. His stomach crammed full of noodles. After he finished both bowls, he thought his stomach would burst anymore. He walked slowly to school. The bell rang and the teacher entered the class.

When everyone was busy listening the lessons, Tom could hear growling sound from his stomach. He felt that his stomach was upset. He had been controlling his urges for entire lesson. Once he heard the recess bell, he rushed to toilet. The prolonged urges control had drawn away his conscious. Without noticing he entered into the girls toilet. The bowl of noodles that he took in morning made his condition worse. Tom heard some giggling sound outside but he was not in state to look back.

As he came out of cubicle, he regained his conscious and discovered that he was in girls toilet.  Some group of girls were standing outside the toilet made a loud laughter. Tom's face turned beet red.  Tom was so ashamed and ran out. To his great humiliation, he tripped and fell down.

After being so publicly humiliated, there was nothing that he could do to save face. That day became the most embarrassing day for Tom. The discomfort felt within those few minutes was unforgettable for him.
Embarrassing moment is that when one wishes the earth could develop an opening and swallow him or her.

ESSAY (At The Beach )

At The Beach

The beach was one of the best places in the world. I love the sound of waves crashing against the shore. I love splashing and playing in the dancing waves. My family goes to the beach once in a month. My mother would pack sandwiches and towels into the car and my father would drive the family down to the beach.

My brother and I were wading in the water looking for fishes to catch. My father bought new fishing nets and we were thrilled to use it. However, all the little fishes were too fast for us, darting through the water before we scoop them up!We managed to catch a mudskipper and crabs hiding by the rocks.

Suddenly , I saw some red creature hiding behind the rock. I peered in to get a closer look. To my astonishment, it was an octopus! My heart was pounding. I struck my net and caught the octopus.I did not want to miss that prized catch. So we placed it in the pail and watched it swim around.

We were observing it for an hour. Since we know that octopus could survive only in salt water,  it is impossible to keep it in aquarium. With heavy heart the time came to release the octopus into the sea.
That was certainly an experience I would never forget.

Science is BOON or BANE?

Science is BOON or BANE?
Science is nothing but systematic classification of experiences. Can you imagine the world without Science? The life would be harder. Every part of life whether it is food or recreation is related to science and its various ways.
The invention of electricity made a tremendous rev0lution on earth. The expansion of medical field made our life span up to 100. Computers, Cell phones, Television, Radios, Robots, aeroplane are all products of Science. We have enough clothing and better security too.  Even you can place your foot in moon. This all became possible due to Science and Technology.
So it is easy to conclude science is boon to us. As Newton said “To every actions it has its equal opposite reaction” , Science also have have its own negative side.
Industrial revolution have created lots pollution problems. Already the ozone layer gave threaten signal. The more use of technology started destroying Nature. The human become more addict on technology . The powers like Guns , Riffles, Nuclear Power are also an important inventions of Science for Security purpose. But unfortunately these are used as destructives of Earth.
Man is a logical being. When you fire a wood to get warm it is boon at the same time when you fire the same to destroy something it is a bane. So we should choose wisely.

Do you think Science Boon or Bane?

Sample Essay 4: A Nightmare

A NIGHTMARE

I am just 13 years old boy. I usually get scared about ghost and darkness. But my interest on seeing thrillers will always be more. My mother always warned me,"Don't see thrillers before going to bed". That was the day I understood my mother words.

That night my dad was out of home. My mother was busy with her kitchen works. I was seeing horror movie in the television. The movie was very thrilled. After finishing the movie I went to bed.

I was drifted into a troubled sleep. I dreamt that I was carried by some ominous dark creatures to some mystery world. Finally I was dropped into a dark world. Nobody was there. I was searching for any people there. I was very scared in the darkness. I felt of screaming but I could not.

I could find one small hut in that dark lonely place. I slowly walked toward it. I felt someone was walking behind me. The next moment I could feel flash light on my eyes. I was completely petrified with fear. I gave a muffled yell and woke. My room light was on and my mother was standing beside.

My goodness, what a horrible nightmare it was! For a minute or so I lay on my bed not daring to close my eyes for fear of falling asleep again and continuing the nightmare. Then I sat up on my bed until the horrible feeling passed. From then on I never see horrible movies before I go bed.

Platypus

The Weirdest Mammal

PLATYPUS is small, amphibious mammal has a tail like a beaver, a body like an otter, walks like a reptile, has webbed feet and a beak like a bird, and it lays eggs!

Males are also venomous. They have sharp stingers on the heels of their rear feet and can use them to deliver a strong toxic blow to any foe.

Platypuses spend most of their time alone, sleeping or eating. Platypuses sleep up to 17 hours per day.

They have amazing snout. It is actually quite soft and covered with thousands of receptors that help the platypus detect prey.

They feed in the water at night, frantically swimming around with their eyes and ears closed( nostrils close with a watertight seal) , using their bill to search for their  food.

In this posture, a platypus can remain submerged for a minute or two and employ its sensitive bill to find food.

Their mouth has no teeth. Platypuses don't eat underwater. They store their food in their cheeks and bring it to the surface to eat.

On land, platypuses move a bit more awkwardly. However, the webbing on their feet retracts to expose individual nails and allow the creatures to run.

Platypuses are eaten by a wide array of Australian predators, including dingoes, foxes, large snakes, and even eels.

Each animal will maintain several burrows, usually dug in areas where there are overhanging branches and exposed roots to disguise the entrance.

Females seal themselves inside one of the burrow's chambers to lay their eggs. A mother typically produces one or two eggs and keeps them warm by holding them between her body and her tail.

The eggs hatch in about ten days, but platypus infants are the size of lima beans and totally helpless. Baby platypuses grow a temporary egg tooth to help them break out of their egg.

Mother platypuses don't have nipples like most mammals. They suckle their hatchings by secreting milk onto their fur from two milk patches on their stomach.
